Florida Information

Florida Overview:
Florida, nicknamed the "Sunshine State," has attracted vacationers and retirees since the early 1900's. With 1200 miles of coastline and just 150 miles from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico, one is never far from the sea. There are more than 8,000 lakes (many around the Orlando area) and year 'round outdoor, recreational opportunities abound for fishing, boating, swimming, golf, tennis and equestrian pursuits.

Florida Real Estate:
Florida has always been on the cutting edge of real estate development beginning with George Merrick who began development of Coral Gables in 1922. Coral Gables was one of the first planned communities in the United States. Golf, tennis, equestrian, neo-traditional, retirement communities, gated communities and master planned communities abound in Florida and offer a perfect real estate investment for a lock-it-and-leave-it second home real estate option or retirement real estate where travelling for extended periods won't pose a safety problem for your Florida real estate.
