Sylva, NC (October 10, 2019)—Balsam Mountain Preserve, a conservation-oriented residential community in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, has awarded the interior design contract for the 23 residential cottages in the community’s upcoming Doubletop Village to The Architectural Studio, PLLC. The Waynesville-based design and architecture firm will also be responsible for outfitting the Doubletop Village model cottage, which will be unveiled November 2019.

Designed to be completely move-in ready, the Doubletop Village cottage product features five distinctive floor plans ranging from two to four bedrooms. Owners will have the option to fully design their cottage by the esteemed team at The Architectural Studio, PLLC. led by owner and principle architect, Shawn Leatherwood.

Three design options for the kitchen, bath, living areas and bedrooms are available, as well as an extensive inventory of finishes and furniture for owners to select from. Design themes range from modern and traditional to mountain-rustic; however, owners can consult with the design team on fabrics and personal modifications so that the design fits within their personal aesthetic.

“The cottages will allow Balsam to continue its legacy of premier mountain living, but with a small village feel,” shared Joe Dellinger, Chief Operating Officer at Balsam Mountain Preserve. “By partnering with The Architectural Studio, we are able to offer homeowners premier designs that complement the overall ethos of the Balsam community as  we enter our latest chapter with Doubletop Village.”
