Lakewood Ranch, FL (January 31, 2018) - The community’s love of all things cultural will again be celebrated at Grand Ovation, a festival for the arts, at Main Street in Lakewood Ranch. The 11th annual event offers something for everyone, from performances on two different stages, to visual arts in a street-fair atmosphere.
“Ovation is a showcase of local talent, a one-stop-shop, so to speak,” said Rachel Gray, the event’s coordinator. “We’re excited to welcome some of our favorite groups from years past as well as several new acts that will be joining us for the first time. Make sure to stop and see our local chalk artist’s work. Also, new this year will be added activities for children of all ages; face painting and a caricature artist. There will be plenty to see and do. We’re certain everyone will have a wonderful time.”
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, Grand Ovation will once again take over Lakewood Ranch Main Street, replacing vehicles with pedestrians and seating at two live performance stages. As always, parking and admission will be free. Billed as a “charming mix of street festival and concert hall,” Grand Ovation is a celebration of the region’s thriving cultural arts community with performances by top musicians, dancers, thespians and vocal groups.
