Lakewood Ranch, FL (February 7, 2017) – With final preparations for Grand Ovation at Lakewood Ranch underway, organizers of the 10th annual arts festival are confident that this year’s event will be another successful celebration.
“Our schedule for both stages is full, and we are thrilled with the line-up of talented performers,” said Rachel Gray, the event’s coordinator. “We’re pleased to welcome some of our favorite groups from years past as well as some new acts that will be joining us for the first time. We’re especially excited to have the Mote Marine Touch Tank back for again this year. There will be plenty to see and do. We’re certain everyone will have a wonderful time.”
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, Grand Ovation will once again take over Lakewood Ranch Main Street, replacing vehicles with pedestrians and seating at two live performance stages. As always, parking and admission will be free. A charming mix of street festival and concert hall, Grand Ovation is a celebration of the region’s thriving cultural arts community with performances by top musicians, dancers, thespians and vocal groups. Among those scheduled to participate in this year’s event are:
• Curry Creek Cloggers
• Florida Studio Theatre
• James Hawkins
• LWR Ballroom Dance Club
• LWR High School Theatre Dept.
• Nick Drivas
• Onyx Studio 2
• Ovation - School of Musical Theatre

The wide array of street vendors and booths is always a fun part of the Grand Ovation experience, and this year will be no exception. Look for displays and booths from the Ringling College of Art & Design, Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch, La Musica, as well as most of the performing groups.
Lakewood Ranch Main Street will be closed to traffic during the festival hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seating for the performances will be provided, and coolers are prohibited. Grand Ovation was founded and is supported by LWR Communities LLC.
