Lakewood Ranch, FL (October 20, 2016) - The 19th annual Tour of Homes, held this year from Oct. 21 – Nov. 20, will feature a variety of activities and events that will highlight Lakewood Ranch as a great place to live, work and play.  There are more than 50 models to tour on the Ranch, ranging in price from the high $100s to more than $1 million. This year, guests will be able tour models in more than 10 villages, including the three newest additions: Arbor Grande, Mallory Park and Del Webb’s active adult community.

The significance of the Tour of Homes is that it provides guests with a glimpse into life on The Ranch, said Laura Cole, vice president of marketing for LWR Communities.  Through events, behind-the-scenes tours, and model viewings, visitors get to experience what day-to-day life is like here while introducing them to new villages, builders, and amenities.

“It’s odd to say that after 20 years Lakewood Ranch feels new again, but in many ways it does,” Cole said. “Beyond our refreshed brand, Lakewood Ranch has introduced several new villages with neighborhoods and homes to accommodate every home preference and stage of life.  Today you can live in Lakewood Ranch starting from the high $100s to well over $1 million in everything from a condo on Main Street to a villa in Arbor Grande, or a custom built home in a sanctuary-like setting in The Lake Club.

“In the past six months alone Lakewood Ranch has broadened its amenity offerings with The Lodge, a new rustic clubhouse in Country Club East, doubled the size of its athletic center, introduced new stadium facilities at the 22-field Premier Sports Campus, and so much more,” Cole said. “Yes, people can visit any time, but Tour of Homes is our opportunity to share what is new and exciting about our community.”

The tour magazine can be picked up at either of the Lakewood Ranch information centers, located at 6220 University Parkway or 11506 Rangeland Parkway. They are also available at Lake Club’s Model Home Preview Center, which is just outside the village’s main gates north of University Parkway.  Information centers and models are open daily, Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. The magazines can also be picked up at The Mall at University Town Center located at 140 University Town Center Drive.

Special events are a major portion of the annual Tour of Homes. This year’s kick off is a block party from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 21 at Lakewood Ranch Main Street, and is a joint celebration with the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance and the Lakewood Ranch Community Activities Corporation.
