Situated only a few miles south of Chapel Hill, NC, the 1,600 acre Governors Club is a gated residential golfing community that is divided into neighborhoods. Below is a brief introduction to each neighborhood’s character and charm.

Governors Square
Located near the Mount Carmel gate and surrounded by the golf course, most homes have lovely views from almost every window. Community sidewalks allow easy access to the Club, amenities, biking and walking.

Tryon Courte
Bounded by the golf course on two sides and surrounding the Wellness Center, this horseshoe-shaped neighborhood is close to the Club for easy access to dining, events and amenities.

Vance Villas
Set between the 1st and 17th fairways, this neighborhood is a short walk to the Club and amenities. It features 16 two to three bedroom condos and lots for 30 single family residences, many homes have golf course views or views of the Club.

Highland Pond
Grand estate homes with diverse and interesting architecture built on large estate lots surrounded by mature woods. This neighborhood is situated on one of two Edwards Mountain crests and offers spectacular long range views of 15 - 25 miles.

Stone Brook
Set on rolling terrain and characterized by French architecture (stacked stone and cedar exteriors, shutters and windows boxes), Stone Brook is the only neighborhood with its own pool, tennis courts, playground and pavilion area.

Walker Falls
Stretching along holes 3 and 4, many properties have golf course and water views. The brick courtyards in the front are a feature unique to this neighborhood. Close proximity to community sidewalks make it a short walk or bike ride to the Club or Wellness Center.

Morehead Forest
In the largest of the neighborhoods, homes afford a variety of views - water, golf course and wooded views. Many homes are literally steps from the water. A great neighborhood for walking and biking.

Wilkinson Park
Located on the central southern edge of Governors Club, varied architecture and topography add interest to this neighborhood. It is perfect for walking and biking and is only a short stroll to Morehead Forest and Lake Morehead.

Saddle Ridge
Sitting majestically at the northern edge of the community, this neighborhood overlooks the valley between Edwards Mountain and Edwards Ridge. The diverse architecture and expansive views of the mountainous topography give it a special feel.
