Naples, FL (Oct. 30, 2014) – WCI Communities has selected Naples interior designer Jinx McDonald to design a fresh, new look for Talis Park’s first luxury condominium model.

Located in the Carrara neighborhood at Talis Park, the three-bedroom, 2,950-square-foot model will feature vibrant colors in Caribbean blues and sea-glass greens. The home will showcase glossy white millwork, painted furniture, and backgrounds in light to natural stone grays and traditional beige, taupe and tan backdrops.

The model features a den/media room, dining and great rooms, three full baths and a powder room. The main wraparound loggia – accessed through zero-corner pocketing doors – and a private al fresco area at the den offer more than 700 square feet of outdoor living space.

McDonald isn’t ready to reveal all of the details she has planned for the model but is quick to point out that the newest generation of WCI’s popular maintenance-free condo residences will usher in the new look of Naples’ homes.

The interior, she promises, “will be clean, fresh and modern. This is how we see Naples’ ‘new’ design, and we’re leading the trend away from browns.”

It’s a new Naples look that’s neither cottage, contemporary nor transitional, the designer said.

The model is located on the first residential floor of Carrara’s four-story buildings and will feature water and golf course views.

“I’ve worked with several clients in WCI’s other condominium homes, and they love the lock-and-go lifestyle and open floor plan,” said McDonald. “These homes have lots of natural light and privacy for the owner’s suite and guest bedrooms, and there’s no wasted space anywhere in the unit. The sliding glass doors in the great room stack back to reveal the loggia and extend the living space. The dining offers bay windows creating a cozy, intimate ambiance.”

McDonald and her team of Cynde Thompson, a licensed designer, and Janine Blume, associate designer, have selected the model’s finishes from WCI’s Design Studio.
A new 18-by-36-inch porcelain tile with a natural stone look will create an open feel throughout main gathering areas and provide a backdrop for salty blue painted walls, crisp white and soft gray accents, and painted furniture in misty grays, turquoise blues and whites.

The great room will feature a sectional sofa upholstered in natural woven fabric and placed on a 90-degree angle. Two armchairs will sport a fun geometric pattern in Caribbean blue. The breezy, light drapery panels will be layered in white, gray and turquoise blue. Custom abstract art by a Naples artist, commissioned exclusively for the model, will introduce color on each side of the wall-mounted, framed flat-screen TV.

The kitchen will feature glossy white cabinetry contrasted with dark charcoal quartz countertops and complementary backsplashes. The adjoining dry bar will have a mirrored backsplash accent to reflect light.

The main wall of the owner’s suite will feature molding detail in a grid pattern framing the custom-built king bed, which will have a soft silver-gray finish. Additional furniture will feature inlays of mother-of-pearl, decorative hardware and reflective accents to add to the serenity of the room.

The owner’s bathroom will feature glossy white vanity cabinetry with his-and-her sinks, silver-toned wallpaper and accents of salty blue and misty gray. The space offers a separate tub and shower, private water closet and an oversized walk-in closet.

One of the guest rooms will feature painted walls in a dramatic Caribbean blue, a king bed in ebony wood tones and a painted blue chest. Kiwi and turquoise pillows will pop against a white coverlet.

The second bedroom will feature twin beds pushed against a custom wall-mounted upholstered headboard with textured geometric patterns in deep blues and sea glass. Oversized pillows will lend additional softness to the beds.
Each guest room has a walk-in closet and private full bath.

The den’s tailored sleeper sofa will accommodate additional guests. The room’s black painted desk and bookcases will contrast against a textural accent wall.
Carrara’s Residence 102 model is expected to be completed in spring 2015.

The Carrara neighborhood at Talis Park is planned for 15 mid-rise buildings and just 90 luxury homes. The buildings overlook the lakes and Sea Dwarf Paspalum fairways and greens of Talis Park's Greg Norman-Pete Dye designed golf course and Vyne House – a New Fashioned clubhouse located on the community's Grand Piazza.  Golf, tennis, a fitness center, spa and multiple dining venues will be within a short walk from the Carrara residences.  In addition to Fiona’s Market Café at Vyne House, Carrara is located just steps away from Talis Park’s Casa Cortese Grille, an outdoor dining and lounge experience situated adjacent to the community’s driving range.

Each building will feature six homes, with two penthouses per floor.

Luxury penthouse condominiums in Carrara offer private elevators, ground-level parking and additional space for golf cart parking, designer appliances and upgraded features throughout, including tray ceilings in select rooms and tile flooring.
