Spring Island, SC (June 9, 2014) - Spring Island has been awarded the Distinguished Emerald Club of the World Award, by BoardRoom magazine, one of the most respected trade publications serving private clubs. Emerald Club designations are awarded to only the top five percent of private clubs worldwide. The award program uses a club-specific rating system that recognizes the club, its management, and its staff based on proprietary criteria and evaluation process that distills and measures a club’s Member Experience.
“I am pleased and honored that Spring Island has received this recognition, and I am so proud that our department heads were also recognized for the excellent way in which they conduct themselves and run their shops,” said Spring Island General Manager Tom Noyes. “These awards recognize the efforts and attitudes of every one of our team members who work hard each day to provide the best possible experience for our members and guests.”
The process of the Distinguished Clubs award program includes a committee nomination, site visit, formulaic audit and an evaluation report. The award recognizes the club’s member experience and reviews food and beverage services, golf operations and courses, tennis, aquatics, spa and club facilities, as well as intangible qualities such as reputation, brand, reverence and distinction.
