Sarasota, FL (Jan. 13, 2014) – Six model homes are currently under construction at Sarasota National, WCI Communities’ newest Southwest Florida community. The models will showcase six of the seven available two- and -three-bedroom designs at Sarasota National, a 2,400-acre community featuring an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gordon Lewis.

WCI is offering all-new Carriage, Villa and Grand Villa floor plans, created to suit any lifestyle, at Sarasota National with prices from the low $200,000s.

The first models, located in three neighborhoods overlooking large lakes and nature preserves, are expected to be completed in early 2014 and will feature floor plans ranging from 1,593 to 2,376 square feet of interior space.

The three Grand Villa models include the two-bedroom, two-bath Valencia with 1,756 square feet; the Azalea with three bedrooms, two baths and 1,862 square feet; and the Florencia, designed with two bedrooms, two baths, a den, dining room, breakfast nook and 2,039 square feet.

The Valencia and Azalea also offer a flex room, which allow owners to create retreats, hobby and media rooms, and spaces personalized to their needs.
Grand Villas are priced from $254,990 and feature two-car garages, screened lanais and great rooms.

Two two-bedroom, two-bath Villa models, each offering a den, dining room and great room, are also under construction. The Medina has 1,593 square feet of air-conditioned living space; the Carrara offers 1,807. Both floor plans offer screened lanais and provide the option of converting the den into a third bedroom.
Villa homes at Sarasota National are priced from $230,900.

The Monaco, the community’s largest floor plan and one of two carriage designs, also is being built as a model in the Oak Run neighborhood. Located on the second floor and offering 2,376 square feet of interior living space, the Monaco has a private elevator, staircase and a den. The Monaco and the first-floor Corsica floor plan are designed for a low-maintenance lifestyle and feature three bedrooms, two baths, a great room, formal dining room, breakfast café, screened lanai and attached two-car garage. Carriage homes are priced from $210,990.

Homes at Sarasota National feature tray ceilings in select rooms, tile and carpeted floors, and owner’s suites with walk-in closets, separate tubs and/or showers. Several floor plans offer kitchens with corner walk-in pantries and free-standing islands/breakfast bars, dens, dining rooms and flex spaces.

Sarasota National encompasses 2,400 acres, with 1,300 acres designated for preservation, conservation and open space. The community is approved for 1,584 homes, including 800 homes surrounding the golf course and country club portion of the community.

Amenities at Sarasota National include the Audubon International Signature Sanctuary-certified golf course, a pro shop, driving range, and chipping and putting greens. Golf membership is included with homes purchased in the Golf Village.

Future planned amenities at Sarasota National call for a resort-style clubhouse with dining and gathering spaces, fitness, tennis courts and swimming.

Sarasota National is close to Venice’s downtown and Gulf of Mexico beaches and is only 20 miles south of downtown Sarasota’s arts, culture and dining venues.
