Spring Island, SC (Nov. 14, 2013) - Spring Island’s Old Tabby Golf Course has been named one of Golfweek's Best Residential Courses in their 2013 DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO THE GOLF LIFE.

The residential ratings are derived directly from the annual list of Golfweek's Best Courses. Golfweek's Best Courses are ranked by nearly 400 raters throughout the country, who judge on the basis of 10 evaluation criteria. Rankings are calculated using a statistically rigorous process.

The Old Tabby Links course at Spring Island features an Arnold Palmer design, with the front nine winding through a 150-year-old oak forest and the back nine bordering scenic pastures and marshland. Only about 9,000 rounds are played annually, so the greens, fairways and practice facilities are never crowded.
