Chapel Hill, NC (November 14, 2012) — The Triangle Business Journal recently recognized Governors Club for having one of the Top 10 Triangle Golf holes in the region. Hole No.9 on the Mountain Course, a challenging par 4 that sits 170 feet below the back tee, was chosen for its breathtaking scenery before teeing off at the course’s highest point.

The par 4 plays shorter than its 412 distance from the gold tees but the green is not deep and wind can truly come into play. It is listed as a 6 handicap.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Governors Club Golf Course, it is a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course “situated along wooded valleys with lush foliage, following the natural contours of Edwards Mountain and winding through the neighborhoods of the golf course community at Governors Club.”
The course was used as a U.S. Open Regional Qualifying Site and offers a challenging yet rewarding experience.
