(Statham, GA) - The Georgia Club Foundation, was honored to accept the state's Outstanding Top Educational Patron Award sponsored by the Georgia Association of Elementary School Principals last week.

The award, nominated by Bethlehem Elementary School Principal Marisa Grant, was based on the Foundation's work making a difference in the Barrow County Community. Outreach projects like mentoring, Food Bank (Food 2 Kids program) donations, sponsorship of the Front Porch Foot Race benefitting the Barrow County Schools Special Needs program, sponsorship of Adopt-a-Family students at Christmas, and monetary donations to Bethlehem Elementary contributed to the nomination.

Three educational patron awards were presented at the 2010 Annual GAESP meeting at St. Simons early November, and The Georgia Club Foundation/Bethlehem Elementary won the overall top award. Accepting the award on behalf of The Georgia Club Foundation were Bob Cullerton and Flo Perry. Also pictured along with some students of Bethlehem Elementary is Assistant Principal Sabrina Page.
