Bonita Springs, FL (May 5, 2014) – Each building lobby in Cielo – the new mid-rise condominium neighborhood at The Colony Golf & Bay Club – will convey a modern coastal vibe with clean-lined furnishings, palettes ranging from sea glass to sunset hues, and painted millwork, according to interior designer Lori Wegman.
WCI Communities, which is developing the neighborhood of luxury condominium penthouse-inspired residences, selected Wegman and her Naples firm Wegman Design Group to design the foyers in Cielo’s first phase.
WCI has released for sale the first six of Cielo’s 12 planned buildings at The Colony, the 809-acre master-planned community in Pelican Landing in Bonita Springs. The latest two buildings released showcase new bay and golf views.
“Our goal is to create a feeling that reflects the quality of these residences,” said Wegman. “They’re open and lighter with a cleaner type of design. Some of the furniture will have a subtle mid-century modern look, which we will balance with traditional underpinnings like painted crown molding and wainscoting.”
Each lobby will feature porcelain tile flooring in warm shades of dark pebble gray with light walnut tumbled stone borders. Color schemes will be introduced in furniture fabrics, accessories and artwork, with palettes including sea glass, golden yellow, emerald, oranges and blues, Wegman said.
“The concept is that, although each lobby has the same floor plan, none of them will look alike,” she said.
The foyers will offer comfortable armchairs and a table near the building entrances, and benches and decorative sconces at the elevators.
Cielo’s three-bedroom homes are designed for a lock-and-go lifestyle, with two floor plans offering great rooms, dens, dining areas, kitchens and breakfast nooks within 2,950 and 2,961 square feet of living space. Each home also offers three full baths, a powder room, wraparound loggias and a private loggia at the den/library.
The neighborhood overlooks lakes, nature preserves and the seventh hole of The Colony’s Jerry Pate-designed championship golf course.
Cielo’s residences feature kitchens with granite countertops, pantries and an oversized peninsula island with a raised breakfast bar, dishwasher and double sink. Owner’s suites offer bedrooms with sliding doors to the outdoor spaces, his-and-her walk-in closets, and bathrooms featuring a separate tub and shower and vanities with double sinks.
Each home has coffered ceilings in select rooms, and guest rooms have private full baths and walk-in closets.
Cielo’s five-story buildings offer two homes per floor, with four residential floors above parking. Homes have both elevator and stairway access.
A model home, featuring interior design by Robb & Stucky International, is scheduled for completion in May.
New homes in Cielo start from the mid-$600,000s.
Homebuyers can personalize their home through WCI’s Design Studio, located at the company’s nearby Bonita Springs headquarters. The studio provides a comprehensive selection of cabinetry, countertops, bath and kitchen fixtures, and tile and flooring.
Cielo is one of two new condominium-style neighborhoods created by WCI in The Colony Golf & Bay Club. Terzetto offers three-bedroom, two-and-one-half bath luxury penthouse homes with 2,100 and 2,624 square feet of living space in intimate three-story buildings. Two model homes are now open for viewing.
Cielo and Terzetto residents enjoy the amenities at The Colony, including the award-winning Bay Club, a three-story private dining club overlooking Estero Bay.
Members of The Colony Golf Club enjoy a 28,000-square-foot clubhouse with formal and casual dining options, a cocktail lounge, golf pro shop, men’s and women’s lounges and locker rooms and the Spa & Fitness Center. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool and a tennis pavilion with six Har-Tru courts.
Residents of The Colony Golf & Bay Club also have access to Pelican Landing amenities: a 34-acre island beach park, canoe park, tennis courts, fitness center and community center.
The Colony’s concierge program can arrange everything from key-holding and housekeeping services to dry cleaning, domestic and international travel, and at-home massages or yoga instruction.
