(March 7, 2014) – With its clean-lined, contemporary vibe, Cielo’s first model home at The Colony Golf & Bay Club will capture the sophistication and carefree lifestyle of the new mid-rise neighborhood.
WCI Communities, which introduced Cielo in mid-2013, has selected Robb & Stucky International to create the interior design for the three-bedroom Residence 02 condominium model located on the third floor of Cielo’s first five-story building. The Bonita Springs developer and homebuilder is developing the 809-acre Colony community in Pelican Landing in Bonita Springs.
“We are going for a casual and comfortable ambience with a more clean-lined, lighter design,” said Robb & Stucky designer Joanne Wilseck, who is co-designing the model with Susan Bleda. “The goal is to showcase the views and maximize the space for entertainment.”
Cielo overlooks lakes, nature preserves and the seventh hole of The Colony’s Jerry Pate-designed championship golf course.
Bleda and Wilseck will spin a palette of linen, beige and taupe throughout the model’s 2,950 square feet of living area, using pops of bright orange for drama and warming main rooms with a hand-scraped wood floor. The great room’s entertainment quotient will be enhanced with a sleek LED fireplace with cracked-glass doors, unique artwork, and a main wall finished with a granite wallcovering for texture and a touch of sparkle.
The room also will have a “chat area,” featuring a grouping of four ultra-suede swivel chairs accented with brushed nickel bases circling a large ottoman.
In the dining room, the design team will offset a round table and linen chairs with an upholstered banquette introducing the orange tones.
The kitchen will feature a contemporary look with a contrast of dark wood cabinetry, granite countertops, full granite backsplashes, and stainless steel appliances and cabinetry hardware. The kitchen also has a free-standing island/breakfast bar and a closet pantry.
Wilseck and Bleda have envisioned the model’s media room as a man’s study with masculine furnishings and finishes.
The owner’s suite will continue the contemporary styling with a mirror-accented headboard contrasted by rustic carved demi-lune accent tables and metallic-toned double-bunching chests as a dresser. The suite features a walk-in closet and a bath with a linen closet, garden tub, glass-enclosed tile shower and a vanity with his-and-her sinks.
Each of the model’s guest suites has a walk-in closet and private full bathroom.
The Cielo model is expected to be completed in spring 2014.
WCI Communities offers two floor plans at Cielo, each with three bedrooms, a library/media room, breakfast nook, three full baths and powder room. Homes have wrap-around loggias and emphasize openness with a great room design incorporating gathering and dining areas with the kitchen and alfresco areas through walls of sliding glass doors. Each home also offers coffered ceilings in select rooms, granite kitchen countertops, a foyer and elevator and stairway access.
The Residence 01 floor plan has 2,961 square feet of living space.
Cielo offers eight homes per building with four residential floors over parking. Homes are designed for a lock-and-go lifestyle with prices starting in the mid-$600,000s. WCI Communities has released for sale four of 12 buildings in Cielo.
Cielo is one of two new penthouse-style condominium neighborhoods in The Colony Golf & Bay Club. WCI Communities also is offering new homes in Terzetto, featuring three-bedroom, two-and-one-half bath luxury penthouse homes with 2,100 and 2,624 square feet of living space in intimate three-story buildings. Two model homes are now open for viewing.
