Over six years in the making, the four acre plot of land off McWhorter Road, formerly a sod farm owned by The Landings Club, was opened to a crowd of more than 300. Near-term plans include double fencing and hog wire to exclude wildlife, shallow wells, irrigation, compost bins, and storage sheds for tools.

The Landings Provides Skidaway Getaway for Local Military Families

His idea for the Getaway was based on “Operation Rest & Relax”, a Hilton Head Island concept that helps servicemen reconnect with their spouses and children after tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
