(Sarasota, Fla.) − Main Street at Lakewood Ranch will host its monthly Music on Main concert Friday, December 3, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. SoulRCoaster will take the stage with music from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Beer, wine and food sales will benefit the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund.

The Lakewood Ranch Community Fund enhances the quality of life in and near our community by promoting philanthropy, responding to community needs and granting funds. In 2000, the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund was created to serve the people and interests of Lakewood Ranch and allow donor-allocated funds to stay in our region, serving a variety of charitable interests. Since the Fund's first grant cycle in the fall of 2002, over $635,000 in grants have been distributed to non-profit organizations serving the Lakewood Ranch area.

Check out the fountain area for some extra activities with a visit from the balloon twister, face painting, Aggie Originals’ caricature art and Bounce U. Walk around and enjoy the many shops and restaurants or play a round of golf and enjoy the music!

The location is changing this month to be focused more toward the west end of the street in order to make room for more people —since Music on Main is attracting thousands every month! Guests are welcome to bring chairs, but please leave coolers at home. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a short leash. Overflow parking is available at the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.

Charities interested in applying to be a beneficiary of the proceeds from the sale of beer and wine during future concerts will find an application on our Web site, LWRmainstreet.com.

The series is made possible by our generous sponsors: Lakewood Ranch Herald, WWSB ABC 7, SRQ Media Group, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, M & I Bank, Conley Buick Subaru Conley Buick & GMC, Minto Communities, WLSS News Talk 930 AM and Michelob Ultra.
