(Chapel Hill, N.C.)- The Governors Club's Womens Golf Association is proud to host the Rally for the Cure, which will take place on Tuesday, May 18th. For the eleventh consecutive year, the women of the club will join together to celebrate those who have battled breast cancer and the progress made toward a cure. Activities will include an afternoon full of golf, lunch and camaraderie followed by an educational fund raiser for breast cancer research.

The Rally for the Cure is a grassroots program that works to spread awareness about breast health and breast cancer while also empowering people to join in the fight against breast cancer through an activity that many enjoy. Proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Cornucopia House.

In 2009, the WGA raised more than $22,000 for the Triangle affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Cornucopia House in Chapel Hill.
