Chapel Hill, NC (November 16, 2015) - Last fall Big Coat Productions, creators of HGTV’s Love It or List It, moved production of the popular show’s current season to North Carolina’s Triangle Area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill). The show had previously been filmed in and around Toronto, Canada. At present, almost 30 shows have been filmed in the Triangle.
The premise of the show is simple - Designer Hilary Farr remodels a family or couple’s existing home while realtor David Visentin selects properties that fit the homeowner’s needs. The homeowners then have two choices: ‘Love It’ and keep their remodeled home or ‘List It’ and buy one of the suggested properties.
The show’s producers recently featured two Governors Club Realty listings. The November 9 episode entitled Master Mistakes featuring these homes was filmed this past summer.
Executive producer Maria Armstrong said that they chose the Triangle because it represents HGTV’s audience and has a thriving real-estate market. She also said that the Triangle market is perfect for showcasing both classic and contemporary homes that also represent a range of architectural styles and incomes.
Governors Club Realty is the only on-site sales agency for Governors Club and offers home sites, custom homes and existing luxury homes in one of the nation’s top private golf communities. Governors Club Realty is pleased to have been a part of this popular show and wishes the producers all the best as they continue filming in the area.
