Venice, FL (March 21, 2014) – Seven furnished model homes are now open for viewing at Sarasota National, WCI Communities’ newest Southwest Florida community.

The models represent two Carriage, two Villas and three Grand Villas offered in the 2,400-acre community.

Interiors for the Azalea, Florencia and Valencia Grand Villas were created by Kay Green Design.

The three-bedroom, two-bath Azalea features coastal colors – beach-toned creams, macadamias and robin’s egg blue – with citrus green and accents of apricot throughout its 1,862 square feet of living space. The model’s transitional design blends light and dark wood tones with iron and glass, painted pieces and antiques. The Azalea’s flex room is shown as a dining room. Finishes include ceilings accented with crown molding, wide tongue-and-grove planking and boxed beams, and walls embellished with custom millwork.

The Florencia, a two-bedroom, two-bath model, balances old and new, modern and rustic, and light and dark in a design that incorporates a palette of sunny yellow, crisp whites and sapphire blues with hints of lemongrass and gray. The 2,039-square-foot floor plan has a dining room and den, which is shown as a golfer’s retreat and home office. Highlights of the design include woven, painted and white-gloss finishes, and specialty ceiling and wall treatments.

The two-bedroom, two-bath Valencia features an easy yet elegant design of soft taupes, gray and creamy neutrals punctuated by accents of amber, graphite and slate blue that appear also in painted crown molding, millwork and baseboards. The flex room in the 1,756-square-foot model is shown as a den, and furniture throughout the home conveys a modern-meets-transitional sensibility with the occasional touch of South Pacific influences. Finishes include dark brazilnut-stained box beams in the great room’s tray ceiling; a wood-trimmed and painted ceiling in the owner’s retreat; and specialty wall treatments.

Carol Jean Annand of CJ Décor created the interiors of the Medina and Carrara models, both two-bedroom, two-bath Villa homes, and the Corsica and Monaco, three-bedroom Carriage homes.

The Medina, offering a den, dining room and great room, features a palette of blues and pinks designed to impart a coastal ambience. Colors are introduced in painted furniture and floral and patterned upholstery throughout the 1,593-square-foot model, which also features white picture-frame molding and decorative tumbled stone and tile detailing in kitchen and master bath.

The 1,807-square-foot Carrara pairs yellow and citron with multiple shades of gray, driftwood finishes and painted furniture. The floor plan offers a dining room and great room and features a driftwood-finished floor and picture-frame wall accents in the den. Mirrored finishes and glass add a touch of shimmer, and white and gray painted moldings add visual interest to the bed wall in the owner’s suite.

The Monaco is located on the second floor of Sarasota National’s Carriage home buildings in the Oak Run neighborhood. Offering 2,376 square feet of air-conditioned living space, the Monaco showcases a low-maintenance lifestyle, and an open design combining great room, dining room, kitchen and café. The home features a tropics-meets-contemporary design, mixing sleek and textural wood furnishings and accents of pear-green and navy against neutral backgrounds.

The three-bedroom, two-bath Corsica design offers convenient first-floor living with expansive living spaces, including a formal dining room, great room and breakfast café within 1,710 square feet of living space. The floor plan also offers upgrades such as tray ceilings in select rooms, carpet and tile flooring, designer tile, solid surface countertops and raised-panel cabinetry in bathrooms, and a Whirlpool kitchen and laundry room appliance package.
