More than 80 local and national charities sent trucks, vans and cars to pick up thousands of Christmas gifts today.

White Sulphur Springs, WV (December 16, 2013) - Representatives of local and national charitable organizations arrived in droves this morning to The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia's Allegheny Mountains, where they loaded cars and trucks full of the nearly 40,000 Christmas gifts donated and wrapped by resort guests and area volunteers.

This is the third consecutive year that the historic American resort has distributed tens of thousands of toys and gifts, through The Greenbrier's "Create a Dream Tree for Kids" drive, to charities in West Virginia and beyond. The project was personally initiated two years ago by Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier, with the aim of ensuring that all families throughout the region awaken on Christmas morning with a gift for their children.
