Greenville, SC (Sept. 26, 2013) - Dillard-Jones Builders, LLC has named SH Designs/Sandy Hankins as the interior designer for its 2013 Southern Living Inspired Home now under construction at Currahee Club on Lake Hartwell near Toccoa, GA. Working in conjunction with Dillard-Jones staff designer Susan Vernon, Hankins will select interior furnishings and accessories for the mountain-style home.

A Dillard-Jones custom design, the 2013 Southern Living Inspired Home at Currahee Club is a four-bedroom, 4,000-square-foot plan featuring a great room, kitchen and dining area combination with vaulted ceiling and ample windows allowing views that are not inhibited by cabinets or walls. The upper level includes two bedrooms, a destination media room and living space with a balcony that offers golf, mountain and lake views. The home features generous outdoor living space including a sleeping porch and covered back porch overlooking Hole #17, the Quarry Hole, on Currahee Club’s Jim Fazio-designed, Rolex World’s Top 1000 golf course.

SH Designs/Sandy Hankins is a full-service consultation and design firm specializing in residential and commercial interiors. With more than 30 years experience, Hankins’ interiors have been featured in numerous publications including Southern Living and This Old House. She has participated in four Southern Living Showcase Home projects and was selected to design the 2013 All American Cottage presented by Southern Living and This Old House in Greenville SC this past May. Among Hankins’ numerous awards is a 2010 Maitland-Smith National Design Award for outstanding furniture design.

The interior design of the Southern Living Custom Builder Showcase Home at Currahee Club is inspired by the natural landscape and the breathtaking mountain, lake and golf course views, according to Hankins The home will feature a woodsy, yet clean look that is Ralph Lauren-esque but not too heavy.

The work of local artists will be used throughout the home that pays homage to the Native American Indians that once occupied the land. Various rooms will carry a golf theme, Native American theme, and a children’s room will feature a Raggedy Ann & Andy theme.

The color palate for the 2013 Southern Living Custom Builder Showcase Home is from the award-winning 2010 Southern Living Showcase Home by Dillard-Jones Builders. The body of the interior of the house including the master bedroom, hallways and laundry room is Nantucket Dune by Sherwin-Williams. The kitchen is Sherwin-Williams’ Sandy Ridge and upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are painted in Sherwin-Williams’

Presented by Currahee Club, Dillard-Jones Builders and Builders First Source, the 2013 Southern Living Inspired Home will incorporate the products and services of more than 30 building suppliers, along with those of Southern Living national program sponsors including Belgard Hardscapes, Bevolo, Lennox, Marvin Windows & Doors, Moen, Rinnai, Sherwin-Williams, Sunbrella, Trex and Wellborn Cabinet.

The 2013 Southern Living Inspired Home will be the sixth Southern Living tour home presented by Dillard-Jones Builders. The company’s 2008 Showcase Home in Tuscany Falls and the 2010 Showcase Home in Claremont won the Upstate homebuilder 2009 and 2011 Southern Living Builder of the Year honors.

The 2013 Southern Living Inspired Home at Currahee Club will be open from September through December, closing for a short period in November for holiday decorating. Admission to the Showcase Home is $10 per person, with proceeds benefiting Neighbors 4 Neighbors and the Food 2 Kids Program of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.
