Daufuskie Island, SC (March 5, 2013) – The Haig Point Tennis Club will host the 7th Annual Daufuskie Island Adult Championship April 25-28. The amateur tournament will offer competition for men and women in both singles and doubles, and have divisions for adults age 35 and older.

Haig Point recently received a “2012 Outstanding Tennis Facility Award” from the U.S. Tennis Association and the local Club at Haig Point had two women’s teams compete in the 2012 senior state competitions.

“Players will be paired with other players of similar ability,” says, Gwyn, who has built an active program for his members over his 16 years at the Club. “We have six courts and top-notch amenities, so we will certainly offer a quality experience in every way.”

Prizes will be awarded for finalists in each divisional category and special welcome gifts also will be provided. Gwyn expects to again have entries from throughout the Southeast region of the United States.

“This is another way to showcase the active lifestyle and beautiful amenities of Haig Point,” says Gwyn.
