Daniel Island is much more than a private community - it's an island town complete with restaurants, shopping, schools, churches, a private country club and world-class recreational opportunities.
Spanning 4,000 acres and surrounded by rivers, creeks and Charleston Harbor, Daniel Island boasts 23 miles of shoreline, offering residents access to boating, fishing, swimming, crabbing and other aquatic pursuits. More than 400 acres of this sea island have been transformed into an array of parks and open greenspace, and over 12 miles of leisure trails traverse the island, meandering through neighborhoods and parks, along the marsh and through the island's downtown.
The Daniel Island Club is the island's private country club, featuring the country's only private pairing of courses designed by Tom Fazio and Rees Jones playing on the same property. With breathtaking Lowcountry scenery, immaculate playing conditions and an array of social and recreational amenities, the Daniel Island Club has received national accolades from Golf Magazine, Travel + Leisure Golf, Luxury Golf & Travel and other national publications.
Daniel Island's traditional neighborhoods feature tree- and sidewalk-lined streets and classic southern-style architecture. A wide range of homes and townhomes offer a comprehensive selection of residential opportunities. Condos are also available in some neighborhoods, and in the island's downtown.
Off the island, there is much to explore in downtown Charleston. This vibrant city offers historic architecture, fabulous shopping, world-famous cuisine and quintessential southern charm. And for those seeking surf and sand, the area's famed Atlantic beaches are just 15 minutes away.
Daniel Island is the 2007 recipient of the Urban Land Institute's prestigious 'Awards for Excellence'. Send me information now!

"A Great Place for Families!"
I couldn’t think of a better place to raise my children! Daniel Island seems to have it all from the wonderful parks, swimming pools and bike trails to the great schools, churches, shops and restaurants. We just love living here. It is safe, the kids can ride their bikes to school, and it’s only a short drive to the beaches and downtown Charleston. I highly recommend Daniel Island as a very special place to live and enjoy watching your children grow up.
