(Ocala, Fla.) – The International Council on Active Aging has recognized On Top of the World Communities for its ongoing commitment to the concept of life-long fitness and education through the community’s expansive recreation and fitness programs, as well as its comprehensive Master the Possibilities Education Center.

On Top of the World Communities was included in a major white-paper report presented by the Vancouver, Canada-based professional organization at its recent national conference in San Diego, says Jo Salyers, marketing director for On Top of the World Communities. Founded in 2001, the ICAA’s 8,200 member organizations represent all phases of senior living from active-adult communities to health-care facilities to education.

The white paper pointed out that On Top of the World Communities avoids offering “fluff” programs found in many senior-living communities, opting instead to provide the “full gamut of activity from as deep an intellectual or creative experience as a person may choose, to recreational experiences or just plain fun.”

One of the community’s most compelling features is the Master the Possibilities Education Center, where 600 classes, lectures, presentations and film series are taught each year by a professional faculty.
