WESTLAKE, Fla. — April 20, 2026 – Minto Communities USA, the master developer and lead builder of Westlake, has announced plans for a new resident amenity called the Westlake Fieldhouse, a six-acre recreational space designed for everyday use and neighborhood gatherings. Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2026, with completion anticipated in the fall of 2027.
The centerpiece will be a 4,200-square-foot multi-purpose building, 2,650 of which will be air-conditioned. The facility will include flexible indoor space that residents can reserve for birthdays and small events, along with a coffee bar, covered outdoor seating, office space and restrooms.
Additional features planned include a covered toddler play area designed for children ages 2 to 5, outdoor play elements, open-play multi-use sports fields, and a shaded pavilion-style structure overlooking the activity areas. Plans also call for a new dog park, which will relocate from the Westlake Adventure Park and include enhanced shade and seating.

The Westlake Fieldhouse will complement the community’s existing Adventure Park by offering a more relaxed, walkable environment designed for casual recreation.
The $22 million Westlake Adventure Park features a resort-style lagoon pool with tower slide, splash pad, poolside concessions, adult lap pool, event lawn, concert pavilion, food truck court, BMX pump park, children’s playground, lighted basketball courts, bocce ball courts, BBQ grilling stations and a versatile gathering space known as The Lodge.
