GETTYSBURG, PA, September 24, 2025– Amblebrook at Gettysburg, a multi-award-winning, resort-style 55+ community, held its third Annual 5K Race and Fun Walk this past Saturday, September 20th, with 56 participants raising over $3,100 to support the Gettysburg Soup Kitchen.
The event has been hosted by Amblebrook each year to raise significant funds for local Gettysburg organizations. Previous years have seen donations made to childhood cancer research and the Adams County Office for Aging.
“Proof of our close and supportive community was in full view this past weekend as people of all fitness levels laced up their sneakers for a good cause,” said Sara Carbonell, Director of Sales and Marketing for Crown Community Development. “The turnout from our residents and their family members and friends was impressive, and we couldn’t be happier about the donation that was raised by our participants, which will help feed Gettysburg residents in need.”
The donation of over $3,100 to the Gettysburg Soup Kitchen will help it continue to provide quality, nutritious meals to those in need at no cost, as it has for over 30 years.
The 5K Race and Fun Walk was a tremendous success with 56 people participating, followed by a post-race celebration in the parking lot of Amblebrook’s Fitness Center that featured food, vendors, activities, and plenty of community spirit.
