(VIERA, FL) May 5, 2025– Life for the active adults at Indian River Colony Club (IRCC) in Viera just got a little better, with the complete renovation of their tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, bocce courts and surrounding recreation area. A haven for veterans, Indian River Colony Club is known for its par-72 private golf course and patriotic culture. The gated community of nearly 800 single-family homes maintains a slate of resort-style amenities for active adults aged 55 and over. During the half million-dollar renovation process, the community's three Har-Tru tennis courts were completely replaced and an underground HydroCourt self-regulating irrigation system installed, to water the courts from below. The courts are protected by a new tennis windscreen with the updated community logo. The existing bocce courts were resurfaced using artificial turf, while the shuffleboard courts were upgraded with interlocking VersaCourt tiles. All of the courts in the complex are now considered professional level playing surfaces. A 1600 sq foot artificial turf area for competition cornhole play was added to the court complex. Additionally, 5000 sq feet of pavers were installed in the covered recreation area, along with decorative fencing and new landscaping. "Indian River Colony Club has been a model of community excellence in Viera for almost 40 years," said Robinson." The amenities here are second to none, and anyone who has driven through IRCC knows the entire neighborhood is meticulously maintained. It's what we mean by 'service to those who served.'"

About Indian River Colony Club

Viera's very first neighborhood, Indian River Colony Club (IRCC) was originally conceived as a retirement destination for military retirees. IRCC began to take shape in 1986, its vision to create a private resort-like environment for members. Still predominantly a haven for veterans, IRCC maintains a culture centered on service to others. IRCC is a gated golf course community of nearly 800 homes on 453 acres in Viera, owned entirely by its membership. “The Place Patriots Call Home” enjoys 24-hour gated security, a generous maintenance package and a full complement of newly renovated and 100% debt-free country club amenities for active adults aged 55 and over, including an 18-hole, par-72 private golf course designed by acclaimed Florida golf course architect, Gordon G. Lewis. Social memberships are available for those who live offsite but wish to enjoy the amenities and lifestyle. The patriotic neighborhood was named one of the 2018 Top 20 Golf Communities in North America by Golf Course Home Network.
