Ocala, FL – International relations, military insight into the Middle East and assessing the wreckage of a financial crisis are front and center in this fall’s catalog of course offerings at On Top of the World Communities’ Master the Possibilities education program starting today.

Nearly 100 classes, lectures and film series are in the free fall catalog being distributed at the Master the Possibilities Education Center in the new Circle Square Commons at On Top of the World Communities, just off State Road 200 at SW 80th Avenue and SW 80th Street.

Demand for classes runs so high that course offerings were posted online in advance of the printed catalog, says Daniel F. Dowd, director of education for On Top of the World Communities, which has made education a centerpiece of its active-adult lifestyle. With class enrollments expected to hit 17,000 this year, Master the Possibilities will be in full swing by Oct. 13.

Online registration is available 24 hours a day at MasterthePossibilities.com or by calling (352) 854-3699. Courses are open to the public, and many are free or require nominal tuition fees. Seating is limited for each class, so early registration is advised.

Master the Possibilities offers a professionally taught education program with topics appealing to a diverse 21st century population of active adults. About 80 percent of the roughly 60 faculty members have earned graduate degrees.

International relations with China, the memories of a 12-year-old girl in Vietnam 1963-64 and the insight of a United Nations military observer in the Middle East bring a global perspective to the curriculum. And students can learn more about where they live when they visit horse farms in Marion County, take a class studying the Florida Constitution or explore an archaeological overview of the Ancient Kingdoms of Florida.

On the financial front are topics such as Adult Children Moving Back Home and a financial management course.

Health Care in America and The Flu (Swine and otherwise) are expected to be hot topics this fall. Other classes focus on healthy eyes and diabetes, how not to fall, and What Your Doctor Doesn’t Tell You About End of Life.

The popular book club will be reading Jodi Picoult’s My Sister’s Keeper, while computer lab students will learn PowerPoint, photo restoration and how to buy and sell on eBay, among other classes.

For further details or to register 24 hours a day, visit MasterthePossibilities.com or call (352) 854-3699.
