GETTYSBURG, PA, May 9, 2024 – Amblebrook at Gettysburg, an award-winning 55+ community, has been honored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), winning the Gold Award in the “Best Community Amenity for 55+ Buyer” category for its Rock Creek Fitness Center. Designed by Megan Sherwood Designs, the fitness center won in NAHB’s Best of 55+ Housing Industry Awards.
The award ceremony took place at the National Sales and Marketing Awards gala (known as “The Nationals”), presented in February during the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. The Nationals salute and honor the best in the building industry—including home builders, developers, associates, and consultants—for their determination, integrity, creativity, and endurance in the categories of outstanding residential real estate sales, marketing and design, individual achievement, and global excellence.
Rock Creek Fitness Center caught the NAHB judges’ eyes with its holistic approach to health and wellness. The 22,000-square-foot facility features an indoor aquatic center with pro-sized pool, outdoor pool, large gym with industry-leading equipment and expert trainers, indoor basketball court, indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, movement studio offering classes, and Bayberry Wellness center that offers spa services and physical therapy from WellSpan Health and other local partners.
In addition to the Gold Award, NAHB also recognized Amblebrook with eight Silver Awards in different categories, including “Master Planned Community of the Year,” “Best Community Welcome Center,” “Best Community Amenity- Structure,” and more.
During a four-day judging process, a panel of 13 industry professionals from across the country determined the Silver Award winners from a field of more than 1,200 entries. Silver Award winners were then finalists for The Nationals Gold Awards.
Started in 1982 as the Institute of Residential Marketing, The Nationals award program recognizes superior new home sales and marketing achievements. The awards honor excellence in product and community design, advertising, marketing and sales by individuals and teams across 61 categories spanning various disciplines of the new home industry.
