Richmond Hill, GA (July 20, 2020) – Bryan County, in partnership with Waterways, is excited to announce the upcoming opening of the Bryan County Boat Launch Facility at Waterways. Dry stack boat storage will become available for use on Wednesday, July 22, at 8 am.

Located on Redbird Waterway, the facility can accommodate up to 188 boats of up to 35 feet, and provides direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Great Ogeechee River, in addition to the Atlantic Ocean – a nine-mile boat trip away.

The Marina, which has been under construction since March 2019, is located within the Waterways neighborhood, a 2,300-acre master planned community developed by Fletcher Davis. The dry stack storage and launching docks are a key component of the forthcoming Marina Village, which upon construction completion, will include townhomes, an open-air park and Cottenham Exchange: a mixed-use amenity building with plans for retail, restaurant and fitness tenants.

“I have been involved in this project since the day it broke ground, so being able to say boat storage is now open is incredibly surreal,” says Shane Strause, General Manager of the Marina Village at Waterways.  “We look forward to filling the facility with boats and beginning to see the Marina come to life.”

“I remain confident that this development will become the heartbeat of our community. With the dry stack facility opening, it will be the first glimpse into what is to come with this Marina,” says Doug Davis, President and CEO of Fletcher Davis. “This amenity is key for both Waterways residents and those from beyond and sets us apart from any other community in the Southeast.”
