Williamsburg, VA (May 1, 2014) – Governor’s Land Foundation, the homeowners association for The Governor’s Land at Two Rivers in Williamsburg, has been named “Best On-Site Managed Community Association of the Year” by the Southeast Virginia Community Associations Institute.

Governor’s Land Foundation ensures all of the grounds and amenities are kept pristine for the residents of The Governor’s Land at Two Rivers, which is Williamsburg’s only private golf and waterfront community. This includes 10 miles of nature trails, parks, playgrounds and landscaping in the common areas.

Southeast Virginia Community Associations Institute recognizes one community annually in the on-site category with the prestigious award. Communities of all sizes, age, location and amenities are eligible. The award recognizes a community association for outstanding efforts in caring about its members and their property. In the awards evaluation, judges look for a community association with strong financial responsibility, fair and consistent governing policies, proven commitment to maintaining the property, regular communications to its members, and an active involvement in the community.

Governor’s Land Foundation (GLF) Board President, Ed Odachowski expressed his gratitude to the association’s team and members commenting, “I would like to thank General Manager Lisa Smith and the GLF staff, along with the 2013 Board of Directors and the members who volunteer to make GLF a winning community. This award would not have been possible without all of you.”
