Williamsburg, Virginia (March 7,2014) – Two Rivers Country Club at Governor’s Land, Williamsburg’s only private golf and waterfront community, has recently welcomed Dan Flynn as the new First Assistant Golf Professional.

A member of the PGA of America, Dan has strengths in member service, teaching, club fitting and playing. In his role, Dan will assist Head Golf Professional Chris Warring in the daily operations of Two Rivers including managing member leagues, offering lessons and organizing events on the 18-hole championship golf course. The Tom Fazio-designed course, with three finishing holes along the James River, is better than ever after completing renovations in May 2013.

Dan brings more than 10 years of experience in private country clubs to the position. Prior to joining Two Rivers in Williamsburg, Dan was the First Assistant Golf Professional at Midland Country Club in Michigan and previously was Assistant Golf Professional at Porter Valley Country Club in California.

In 2012, Dan was named Assistant of the Year by the Northern Chapter of the Michigan PGA. He has also been honored as the winner of the Northern Chapter Assistants Championship three years in a row (2010, 2011, and 2012) and placed 3rd in the National PGA Assistants Championship in 2010.

Dan replaces Bill Rutledge who retired at the end of 2013 after serving as First Assistant Golf Pro for more than 11 years.
