Bluffton, SC (Jan. 7, 2014) - As part of its ongoing monthly lecture series, Hampton Lake will host local author, reporter & artist, Michele Roldan-Shaw, for a lecture and book signing of her recent book, Rambler’s Life, the South Reloaded.

Roldán-Shaw has been a freelance journalist based in Bluffton for nearly a decade, and has written hundreds of articles about the Lowcountry—its critters, characters, history and habitats in many area publications including Bluffton Today, Pink, La Isla and The Bluffton Breeze. The lecture will take place on Thursday, January 16th at 11:00AM the Lakehouse at Hampton Lake, Bluffton, SC.

“We’re looking forward to Michele Roldan-Shaw’s reading and lecture of her new book, Rambler’s Life, the South Reloaded. The book is a project she started in 2010 about her experiences while traveling around the Southeast. Michele has a way of getting to know her subjects and capturing them on paper. For those who would like to learn more about the area and the South this will be an entertaining lecture given by a gifted story teller of her unusual, but true life adventures,” said Catherine Guscio, Director of Fun at Hampton Lake.

The event is free and open to the public. Following the lecture and book signing, guests are invited to enjoy lunch at Backwater Bill’s, the community’s lakefront
restaurant 11:30am to 2:30pm (credit card only). Call (843) 836-7475 for reservations. For reservations for the lecture, contact Catherine Guscio (cguscio@hamptonlake.com or call 843.836-7463).
