Bluffton, SC (August 8, 2013) — The 6th Annual Tiger Bass 5K Road Race and 12K Road & Trail Run will be action packed nearly all day on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Bluffton’s Hampton Lake— all in support of Bluffton Self Help— a local charitable organization which serves families throughout the area who encounter unexpected financial emergencies.

Hosted and sponsored by Hampton Lake, The Tiger Bass Run has become a signature event for Hampton Lake because of the strong participation and enthusiasm by its attendees, owners and volunteers. Both events will be professionally chip timed by the Palmetto Running Company and all ages are welcome to participate. A post-race party and awards presentation will follow, where custom medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each age division. Additionally, Hampton Lake has scheduled a Community Open House from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

The 5K and 12K races start at 8 am and the 1-mile fun run/walk starts at 8:15am— both begin and end at the Hampton Lake Amenity Village. Cost to participate is $30 for pre-registration by September 18th and $35 day of the race. T-Shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered participants. Children 12 and under can participate for free. Registrants can pick up their race packets at the Palmetto Running Company, 22 Plantation Park Drive, Suite 103 on September 20th, between 3:00 - 6:00pm.
