Savannah, GA (Aug. 29, 2012) - The USTA has announced the National Men’s 55 Clay Court Championship will be held October 6-12 at The Landings Club and will be free and open to the public.

This tournament will feature nationally-ranked players over the age of 55 from around the country. After 23 years of hosting the National Men’s 40 Clay Court Championship, the Club is excited to be named host of this exciting event.

“We’re thrilled to welcome this tournament to our courts,” said Scott Mitchell, director of tennis at The Landings Club, “and we hope everyone will come and join us for a week of highly entertaining, highly competitive tennis.”

This year’s singles matches begin on Saturday, October 6, with doubles matches starting on Monday, October 8. Both championship matches will be held Friday, October 12.
