Dining and Shopping: Fresh fish from Lake Superior are the highlight of Bayfield-area dining, served at a number of quality restaurants and diners at or near the waterfront. Area retailers can satisfy most basic shopping needs, while a more extensive range of shops, restaurants and commercial services can be found in Ashland (about 25 miles to the south) or Duluth (about two hours west).
