Golf Glacier Club offers 27 holes of golf with three nines that are surrounded by glacially striated cliffs and peaks that rise to 14,000 feet. The courses offer hundreds of feet of elevation changes, traverse natural streams, lakes and meadows and may include an occasional elk, bald eagle and other indigenous creatures as a gallery, while delivering both challenge and pleasure to golfers of every level. The 18-hole Glacier Course is planned to open in 2017 and will incorporate one of the existing 9-hole courses in its design. A year-round indoor/outdoor teaching and practice facility includes three putting greens.
Clubhouse Sitting on a bluff overlooking the Animas River Valley and the first fairway of the Glacier Nine, the Clubhouse invites with the warmth of its massive stone fireplaces, game room with billiard table and the resonant tones of a grand piano. Glacier Club Developing New Course Durango, CO. (March 31, 2015) - A new course is under development at the Glacier Club in Durango, Colo., Golf Course Architecture reported. Hale Irwin of the Hale Irwin Golf Design firm is working alongside iCon Golf Studios’ Todd Schoeder on the design of nine new holes at the club, Architecture reported.
