Canton, GA (May 1, 2012) – Soleil Laurel Canyon, the active adult master-planned community in Canton that won the coveted 2011 50+ Housing Community of the Year title from the Metro Atlanta Home Builders Association announced today its second Soleil Tennis Charity Event, benefitting the Ralph Bunche Center.
The Grand Slam fundraiser is scheduled to take place Friday, May 4 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 5 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The event features gourmet fare, a silent auction, entertainment, raffle prizes and the opportunity to watch a professional tennis match featuring Soleil’s own professional tennis player, Tom Cobb.
For the last 38 years, the Ralph Bunche Center has served The Canton community through language and literacy programs that empower children to put their best foot forward in Kindergarten, elementary school and beyond. The non-profit currently provides resources and services to 110 students in the Head Start program, 20 Pre-K students and seven pre-school intervention students. The goal for this year’s event is to improve the security around the facility as well as the appearance and structure of the center’s playground.
