Event Will Benefit Nurture Home

(Aiken, SC)- The much-anticipated Woodside Plantation Festival of Homes will be held April 15th, 16th and 17th. The event is a unique opportunity for the community to see eight superbly constructed and beautifully furnished homes in both Woodside Plantation and The Village at Woodside while supporting an excellent cause. All ticket proceeds will go to Nurture Home, a United Way funded program of Mental Health America of Aiken County.

Women of Woodside, a group of more than 700 volunteers, are providing the significant volunteer staff an event of this size requires as well as organizing numerous raffles to be held during the event to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. In addition to home tours, the festival will also feature home and lifestyle seminars by Nandina Home & Design, Laurie McRae Interiors, Furniture Connection and Cold Creek Nurseries.

The tour will begin at The Village Center, 230 Village Green Boulevard in Aiken, home to several area businesses and professionals including Aiken Design Center, a state-of-the-art facility with extensive displays of kitchens, baths, floorings, and wall coverings – virtually all facets of the home design process. Aiken Design Center also features the area’s top interior designers. Ticket holders can get a first hand look at the facility, the only one of its kind in the Aiken area.

Located minutes from downtown Aiken, Woodside Plantation is one of the Southeast’s preeminent golf and leisure communities. The community is made up of an exciting collection of thoughtfully planned neighborhoods featuring a wide array of lifestyle options. The homes highlighted in this year’s Festival of Homes are examples of amazing architecture, remarkable craftsmanship and exceptional interior design.

Two of the featured homes are located in the Village at Woodside, a traditional neighborhood featuring homes, cottages and townhomes with Charlestonian architectures set along tree-lined streets, parks and walking trails, Aiken’s most desirable professional offices including a health and wellness campus which is home to Aiken’s top medical professionals and, soon, a wellness center, dining, shopping, inn and a full array of cultural and family activities.

Proceeds from the Festival of Homes will help Nurture Home provide homeless women and their children a nurturing, caring haven while emphasizing education, self-reliance and responsible independence.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the Woodside Development Sales Office, Aiken Design Center, Prestige Appliances, Southern Bank & Trust, The Furniture Connection and Nandina Home and Design.
