Sarasota, FL - This summer, area residents will have the delicious opportunity to discover some of the finest cuisine Sarasota and Manatee counties have to offer. The best part is they will not have to travel very far...it is right in their own backyard. The Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club is offering local residents the chance to experience memorable culinary delights. Diners can enjoy taste-tempting lunch and dinner entrees created by the Club's award-winning Executive Chef Paul Evans and his culinary team. Chef Paul will continue to tempt their taste buds with his weekly specials on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings, featuring the freshest selections of the season.
The Country Club is a great place to entertain family, friends or business associates, and the Wine & Dine Membership is a great opportunity for residents to get a "taste" of the Country Club's lifestyle. Golf is available only as the invited guest of a Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club member.
A sampling of upcoming events includes: Trivia Challenge, Father-Daughter Dance, Father’s Day Brunch, Fourth of July Cookout, Hot Night in Havana – Dinner Dance (theme attire), Fabulous Specialty Nights in the Grille Every Wednesday, “Carvery Night,” “Shrimp Feast” and “French Bistro Night,” just to name a few. Wine & Dine Members may sign up for special events two weeks in advance.
The Wine & Dine Membership is available June 16 through September 30, 2009 and is limited to the first 50 memberships.* There is a $50 non-refundable sign-up fee, but if you take a membership by October 1, 2009 your $50 will be applied to the membership initiation fee. Please come in person to the Clubhouse reception desk to complete the Wine & Dine application. Registration begins Friday, June 12, 2009 and continues on Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Residents are invited to take a personal tour of the Country Club. Wine & Dine 2009 Memberships can be activated the same day.
*Wine & Dine Membership is not available to former Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club members, employees of SMR or employees of the Country Club.

Note: The Clubhouse will be closed for summer maintenance July 5 - July 20.
