Hendersonville, NC (December 20, 2017) - The activity on the Lodge has begun with the pouring of concrete; next will be the steel and then the framing. The timbers are being made by Mill Creek Post and Beam. The lodge room will truly be a statement room. The construction is about a month behind, but the builder feels they will be able to make up some of that time. Opening is expected by Thanksgiving and perhaps a grand opening by Christmas.

For those of you who do not live here, winter is a great time to visit. The trails are open and it’s a wonderful time of year to take a hike. With all the fallen leaves and the ground cover sleeping for the winter, the woods are beautiful.

The snow last week was beautiful here at Grand Highlands, with 13 inches and no wind. It was reminiscent of Colorado snow.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Grand Highlands!
