Active Adult Community Honored by Where to Retire Magazine for Third Time
ATLANTA (June 13, 2017) – Where to Retire magazine has named Soleil Laurel Canyon one of the 50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the U.S. for 2017. This is one of the highest honors given by Where to Retire, a national publication that serves as the foremost authority on retirement relocation. This marks Soleil’s third time winning this award, having won previously in 2013 and 2015.
A number of factors went into the judging process, including community size, home pricing, recreation and amenity space, social clubs and functions, and resident testimonies. This year, residents Hiedi and Tim Weiss shared their enthusiasm for Soleil Laurel Canyon with the publication, citing the community’s clubs, tennis courts and location as why they call Soleil home.
“We are thrilled to be named one of the top master-planned communities in the U.S. once again,” said John Huckaby, vice president of operations for Southeast Capital Companies. “Soleil Laurel Canyon strives to be the best of the best in active adult living, and we will continue to develop our community with custom-built homes and world-class amenities.”
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Soleil Laurel Canyon gives residents resort-style living just a short drive from Atlanta. The community boasts a full-time staff of lifestyle directors that curate a variety of programming throughout the year for residents, as well as a variety of amenities on-site such as a bocce ball court, tennis court, lagoon-style pool and extensive walking trails. This year, Soleil is completing an assortment of in-depth clubhouse renovations including the pool area, library, test kitchen, ballroom, fitness center and more.
