NAPLES, Fla. (March 30, 2017) – Fiddler’s Creek again has been recognized as a Firewise Community – a designation it has attained yearly since 2010 – for implementing community-wide safeguards designed to protect residents from wildfire danger.
Co-sponsored by the US Forest Service, the Department of the Interior and the National Association of State Foresters, the program recognizes communities that have taken action to reduce risks from brush, grass and forest fires. The Firewise Community USA program provides comprehensive resources to help residents and communities work together to prepare and protect their homes from the threat of wildfires.
