Hernando, FL (September 13, 2016) - Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club proudly announces the reopening of its Oaks golf course. The event celebrates the completion of a three month, $500k improvement project. The course was closed on May 1st for a renovation project involving the re-grassing of tees and fairways with Celebration Bermuda grass. Celebration is a deep blue-green Bermuda grass engineered for tolerance and recovery from wear and drought as well as shade tolerance.

While changes to the original golf course routing were not part of the renovation plan, Citrus Hills took the opportunity to make several substantial improvements to the Oaks golf course. A number of greens were expanded and many trees were removed that were hindering turf-grass growth and playability. “The improvements we’ve made will make the course more playable for golfers at all skill levels,” said Wayne Larsen, PGA, Golf Director; “We hope you'll join us on Saturday, September 24th, as we unveil our new course for play to the public!”

We invite you to join us for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 8am on Thursday, September 22nd. Reserve your spot now to be one of the first to experience this newly renovated course on Saturday, September 24th for an 8:30am Shotgun Tournament or book a tee time after 1pm.
