The Viera Community Institute replaces Viera Future Foundation
Viera, Fla. (April 21, 2015) — The Viera Company, the master developer for the town of Viera, announces the launch of the Viera Community Institute, a new non-profit organization to help with the mission to build a vibrant community. The Viera Community Institute will take over the Viera Future Foundation with enhanced goals and vision for the future.
The Viera Community Institute intends to facilitate event planning, educational and cultural experiences, as well as charitable-giving. The institute will continue to plan major community-wide events, as well as offering help to other non-profit organizations, churches and businesses in planning their own events.
“Think of it as an incubator, bringing together Viera’s people, resources and ideas,” said Lauri Duda, Vice President of the Viera Community Institute. “As Viera grows, we see the need to better serve the larger community and make a more profound impact in the lives of our residents. That’s the goal of the institute.”
The Viera Community Institute will also emphasize environmental stewardship by working in conjunction with the Viera Stewardship District to plan and promote events where residents can learn about eco-friendly landscape and irrigation practices.
“We are committed to protecting Viera’s conservation lands and educating our residents on how they can participate in reducing their environmental impacts,” Duda said. “Among our goals is to promote environmental awareness and foster cooperative relationships to help Viera continue as a sustainable community.”
The institute will continue to spearhead many of the signature events of the Viera Future Foundation, like the Great American Celebration and Light Up Viera. The 2015 Great American Celebration will once again be held at Space Coast Stadium, where attendees can see a Manatees baseball game, a fireworks show and indulge in a BBQ dinner for the price of admission.
“We are working on plans for the 21st Annual Great American Celebration event now, and are excited about partnering with our friends, the Brevard County Manatees, to bring the community an evening full of patriotic pride as we celebrate our nation’s birthday,” said Karla-Mae E. Goodman, Secretary of the Viera Community Institute. “So save the date and plan to join us on July 4th at Space Coast Stadium.”
This prominent Brevard County master-planned community encompasses a broad range of housing options and recreational amenities, as well as businesses and health care providers in the Space Coast region of east-central Florida. Homesites from $50,000 to $3 million+; Condos and Townhomes from $100,000 to $300,000; Single-Family Homes from $100,000 to $3 million+.
