Canton, GA (July 17, 2014) - The Aurora Awards, a design competition of the Southeast Building Conference that honors excellence in building and design, has recently named Soleil Laurel Canyon the Best 50+ Retirement Community. Winners were announced July 8, 2014.
Soleil Laurel Canyon, an active adult community located in the rolling hills of the North Georgia Mountains, competed against similar projects from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Entries were judged by the following criteria:

•Floor plan function and design
•Interior merchandising and finishing
•Overall master/site plan
The 2014 award winners were selected by a distinguished panel of industry experts.
Due to their recent award recognition, Soleil Laurel Canyon is now eligible to win the Grand Aurora in its category. The winning entry will be showcased during the 2014 Aurora Awards Black Tie Gala on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Tallahassee, Fla.
