Lake Hartwell, GA
- The 2013 Southern Living Custom Builder Showcase Home by Dillard-Jones Builders
will be decorated for the holidays beginning Friday, December 6.
The showcase home, which is open through December 22 at Currahee Club on Lake Hartwell near Toccoa, GA, offers the latest in design trends and building technology. With panoramic views of Lake Hartwell and the North Georgia Mountains as a backdrop, the Southern Living Showcase Home at Currahee Club is a must-see during the holidays.
Holiday décor will reflect the natural, woodsy feel of the community and the home, according to interior designer Sandy Hankins of SH Designs Inc. “We’re using a lot natural elements such as branches, magnolia leaves, berries and burlap,” Hankins said. “And, we’re transitioning a lot of the décor already in place into holiday décor by adding complementary features.” Local artisans whose work is featured at the 2013 Southern Living Showcase Home are creating custom ornaments for the tree, Hankins added.
“The Southern Living Showcase Home tour is one of the highlights of the year for Currahee Club,” said Currahee Club Managing Director Andrew Ward. “Already it has given many thousands the opportunity to experience the Currahee lifestyle and to introduce visitors from across the country to the great offerings, attractions and excursions in Toccoa and throughout North Georgia. We are delighted that the showcase home tour is continuing through December so visitors can experience this spectacular home decorated for the holidays.”
Presented by Currahee Club, Dillard-Jones Builders and Builders First Source, the 2013 Southern Living Showcase Home incorporates the latest products and services of more than 30 building suppliers, along with those of Southern Living national program sponsors Belgard Hardscapes, Bevolo, Lennox, Marvin Windows & Doors, Moen, Rinnai, Sherwin-Williams, Sunbrella, Trex and Wellborn Cabinet.
