Master-Planned Community Welcomes Runners for Organized Race Event

Richmond Hill, Ga. –(August 1, 2013)– WaterWays Township a 2,300-acre gated master-planned community in south Bryan County, announced today their participation as the hosting site for the TOPO Athletic 5K and 10K Trek; a multi-race event designed to attract all levels of walkers and runners with unique courses that will challenge participants while providing the opportunity to experience different layouts that wind through the beautiful neighborhoods of Waterways Township.

The TOPO Athletic TM 5K and 10K Trek is hosted by Georgia Game Changers Running Company and WaterWays Township with proceeds benefiting the Richmond Hill Cross Country & Track Team. The event is designed to appeal to all levels of walkers and runners. The five-mile course is walker and stroller friendly, while the 10-mile course will take runners on an off-road adventure along various types of terrain found throughout the community, including the edges of the future golf course. The 10K course will provide a physical challenge as well as the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of this coastal Georgia location. Both races will start in the gorgeous setting of Long Creek Park and will finish along the straights of WaterWays Parkway South.

On Saturday, August 10th, the WaterWays community will open for the TOPO Trek event with the races beginning at 7:30 a.m.
