(July 23, 2013) - The Challenge at Currahee Club is a friendly golf competition between the The Dawgs and The Tigers on Friday, August 16, 2013. Hosted by former PGA Pro and Sportscaster Billy Kratzert, this challenge on the links is a prelude to the challenge on the gridiron between the University of Georgia and Clemson University on August 31.
The winning school will claim bragging rights and the opportunity to present a check to their University's athletic scholarship program (60% of tournament proceeds). The non-winning team, while not able to claim bragging rights, will have the opportunity to present a check to their University's athletic scholarship program (40% of tournament proceeds).
| Each University will field six (6) four-person teams comprised of Alumni and friends, men and women, amateur or professional. Each team will be joined by a special guest from their favorite school.
| Two best balls of the fivesome, one gross and one net. All players must have a verifiable USGA Handicap.
| $1,600.00 per team includes golf, breakfast, lunch, tee gifts, prizes, and a heavy hors d’oeuvres reception after golf. All contestants are invited to stay and enjoy dinner specials in Currahee Club's Overlook Dining Room on Friday night.
