Heber City, UT (Sept. 20, 2012) - Red Ledges in Utah’s scenic Heber Valley announced plans to break ground on a new clubhouse next spring. The clubhouse will be part of the expanding Club Commons at Red Ledges which includes the Swim & Fitness Club, the Cliff Drysdale tennis courts, the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, Jim McLean Golf School, and the Juniper Grill.

“We are very excited about both the plans for the new clubhouse and the other amenities we are adding around the clubhouse,” explained Mitchel Burns, Chief Operating Officer of Red Ledges. “Our membership is growing quickly and our club is seeing tremendous activity as we have sold more home sites, so we decided to build this new clubhouse in the Club Commons area to fit the needs of our active and growing membership.” Burns noted that groundbreaking for the clubhouse will take place next spring, weather permitting, and construction is expected to be completed in 2014.

According to Michael Kalb, vice-president of sales and marketing at Red Ledges, “We have a very active club membership. We’ve added approximately 75 new member families in the past 15 months, so in addition to moving forward with the new clubhouse, this fall we will enclose part of the patio of the Juniper Grill which will make that a year round facility. We’re very happy with the energy the Club has developed over the last year, and we’re looking forward to continuing that into the winter, both here with our new facilities, and through our partnership with the Deer Crest Club at The St. Regis Deer Valley.”

John Johnson, manager of the Red Ledges Club, outlined what is on tap for the Club Commons area at Red Ledges, “Besides the new clubhouse and the expansion of Juniper Grill, we will be creating a sports shop in the Swim & Fitness Club which will allow us to develop our new Kids Club where the golf shop is now. After the completion of the new clubhouse, we plan to add a couple more tennis courts to accommodate all the activity in our tennis program. The tennis courts in some communities sit empty most of the time, but at Red Ledges, that’s rarely the case, and we need to add the courts to keep up with the robust program our resident tennis professional, Heather Nicholas, has created in conjunction with the Cliff Drysdale Tennis program here. These changes and new additions mean we can provide more year round activities for all of our members and their guests, and we are really very excited about what is coming beginning this Fall.”
